Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy (WOSP) – The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity; is the bigges and most prosperous charity organization in Poland.
Its objectives, included in the status document, are saving children’s lives, health promotion and education in the field of preventive treatment. Between 1993 and 2010 The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity has collected and spent over $120 million for saving lives. Besides humanitarian work, the Foundation is also a powerful medium spreading the ideology of kindness, friendship, tolerance, and openness. The Foundation spends 100% of collected money for kids!
1. Cork , Ireland : Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity – WOŚP.
Dear Friends,
We are very pleased to present to you the idea of one of the biggest charity events in the world, which January 2011, for the fifth time in Cork’s history, it will appear on the streets of the city.
This year’s 19th Final of the Christmas Charity will take place on January 9, 2011 when thousands of volunteers in Poland and abroad will be collecting money for children suffer for kidney disease. Throughout County Cork we will be organizing parties, concerts and workshops for all, children and adults, despite their nationality or origins. We would love to entertain people and collect as much money as possible.

In Co. Cork it there will be about 100 enthusiastic volunteers, totally devoted to the idea. Unfortunately their effort might not be sufficient. As you may imagine, organizing a successful charity campaign also requires some financial sources. Great events such as: auctions, first Aid presentation, concerts Polish and Irish Bands in few the best clubs in Cork – Crane Lane (7th-9th of January) and Savoy (Final – 9th of January at 7pm).

2. Dublin , Ireland : 5th Great Finale of WOSP in Dublin.
Guys, there are only a few days left before we start the 5th Grand Finale in Dublin. The cause is great so we need a lot of hearts to reach this year’s goal. So, suggest WOSP Dublin to your friends on Facebook, tell them about what we are playing for or just remember to bring them along. Everyone can help 🙂 And there is nothing more rewarding that smiled healthy kids 🙂

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOSP), the most renowned Polish charity event, will take over all Polish Diasporas across the globe 19th time in a row. This time we are playing for children’s urology and nephrology. WOSP Dublin is organizing charitable events across the capital of the Emerald Island hoping to contribute to that great cause. On 9 January 2011, the red heart will conquer the scene of the Living Room, Murray’s and Fibbers Rock Bar with great both Irish and Polish musicians and artists. WOSP Dublin has prepared plenty of attractions for the big and small and everyone between who is willing to help us offer the better future for the sick children.
The programme of the event embraces main five different venues located in Dublin 1 and two supporting: Avoca Restaurant (Blackrock) and Base Bar (Dublin 2).The majority of events is to be held at

* Fibbers Bar, 80 Parnell Street
* Murray’s Street, 33/34 O’Connell Street
* Teacher’s Club, 36 Parnell Square West
The charitable event takes place for 3 days between 12pm and 23pm. The line-up of the programme is as follow:
* Concerts of numerous Irish and Polish bands: Storyfold (pop/rock), Max Band (rock’n’roll), Sunflower Seeds (funky), Booze Brothers Band (blues), Soulsciety (blues/rock/folk), Edge Hogs (rock), JoyFul Noiz (reggae), Blue Amber (rock and roll), Hello Jackie (heavy metal), Solar Flux (hard rock), Last Spoken Word (rock/metal), Psychosis (rock), Thy Worshipper (heavy rock)
* Grill & vegan food court filled with delicacies of Polish cuisine
* Kindergarten with a number of children’s games and workshops
* Outdoors performances including the motorcycle show of Polish Club Husarria & first aid training
* Auctions, lotteries, flea & book markets, craft corner
The art exhibition at Teachers Club is to be launched at 6 on Thursday 6th January and will be open to the public till 9th January. The opening gala will be backed by the performance by CAN’T STOP WON’T STOP. The works displayed are created by established and emerging digital media, photography and traditional artists such as:

For the second time Staff Final Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity in London was at the Poland Street 
Association. This year, the organization of the Final, cooperate with the magazine messenger Polish and Sami Swoi – Transfers.
On the Staff, you will find information about this event or prepare, how and where we gather for the orchestra and how you can join us and help Great Orchestra to play in London on the nineteenth Finale!

3. Londyn, Angila: WOŚP zagra w LONDYNIE.
Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy zagra w LONDYNIE 8-9 Stycznia 2011. 
XIX Finał WOŚP w Londynie jest przygotowywany przez Stowarzyszenie Poland Street we współpracy z magazynem Goniec Polski, Sami Swoi – Przekazy Pieniężne, Buch International Promoters, Polish Proffessionals in London oraz Walkabout Shepherd’s Bush i Jazz Cafe POSK.
Tym razem Wielka Orkiestra zagra na rzecz dzieci z chorobami urologicznymi i nefrologicznymi, a zebrane podczas Finału pieniądze przeznaczone będą na doposażenie polskich klinik w specjalistyczny sprzęt do wczesnej diagnozy oraz leczenia.
Łącznie w ciągu dwóch dni grania odbędą się trzy imprezy finałowe, adresowane do różnych grup wiekowych. W Sobotę (08/01/2011) w Walkabout Shepherd’s Bush gramy rockowo z pięcioma zespołami: Inequality, The Hybrids, Human Control, Gary Moveout, Soulride. W Niedzielę (09/01/2011) w Jazz Caffe w POSK od rana przygotowujemy konkursy, zabawy i występy dla dzieci, a wieczorem koncert z udziałem zespołów reprezentujących blues, jazz i rock: Dobra Mind, Aneta Barcik, Groove Razors, Leszek Aleksander. Bilety na koncerty są w cenie 5£, natomiast warsztaty dziecięce są bezpłatne. Dochód z biletów zostanie przekazany na rzecz Wielkiej Orkiestry Świątecznej Pomocy.

Zbiórka funduszy na rzecz Wielkiej Orkiestry Świątecznej Pomocy będzie prowadzona przez kwestarzy z puszkami w Niedzielę 9 Stycznia 2011, w Polskich sklepach, których lista zostanie opublikowana w mediach oraz na stronie internetowej Finału. Tradycyjnie również podczas koncertów odbędą się licytacje fantów, z których dochód zostanie przekazany na WOŚP. Jak na całym świecie tak i u nas w Southampton będziemy zbierać pieniądze NA ZAKUP SPRZĘTU DLA DZIECI Z CHOROBAMI UROLOGICZNYMI I NEFROLOGICZNYMI
Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy zagra po raz drugi w Southampton Tradycyjnie w drugą niedzielę stycznia (9.01.2011 r.) Wolontariusze będą zbierać pieniądze w polskich i angielskich sklepach, impreza jak w ubiegłym roku będzie miała miejsce w Polskim Klubie w Southampton, poprowadzi ją prezenter radia Unity101 fm Michał Jeleń.
